Japanese Daruma Pottery Ceramic Figurine

£85.00

Description
A 19th century Japanese Daruma ceramic enamel painted figurine.
Daruma was the founder of Zen Buddhism and this particular figurine is him enveloped in a robe and holding a hossu.
His expression is what caught our eye with this piece, he has fierce white eyes and sees to be deep in thought.
Unfortunately, there's a a fair amount of damage to him and he will require restoration, or like us, you may fall in love with him exactly how he is!
Please see all photos for condition.
