This beautiful antique chest is a stunning example of 19th century craftsmanship. Made from solid teak wood and finished with iron bands, this chest is both sturdy and stylish. The chest features a hinged door mechanism and metal handle finish, with huge amounts of patina that's sure to impress. Produced in India during the 19th century, this chest is a unique piece of history that will add charm and character to any space. The chest displays previous signs of paint residue, so originally may have been painted and then sanded in later life. The main lock hinge is also loose but still functions, please see last image.
